When I went to a friends' house today to make a chocolate cake, I had never heard of
raclette. But if you look closely, you can see it on the upper right quadrant of my plate. The cake was fabulous, but trying out a new kitchen appliance was even more intriguing!

i had never heard of raclette either, until i married a German and then received a raclette set as a wedding present. I LOVE IT! now it is "our" entertaining thing... we have already had several dinner parties based around the raclette. people love getting their own little trays...
someday you'll have to come over for raclette with us!
p.s. never eat raclette cheese unmelted. disgusting...
